Licensed Restaurant, Cafe and Bar
The Last Resort Cafe has awesome burgers, fresh salads, tasty fish & chips, takeaways, filled rolls and sandwiches. You can select from the cabinet, or choose your picks from the menu. You’re also guaranteed a good cup of tea or a great coffee, and who can go by our fantastic ice creams in the summer.
The bar is a favourite gathering spot with guests and locals. We have a complete stock of New Zealand and international beers and wines, this includes our very popular ‘Coaster’ brew.
Our fully licensed restaurant is a great place to dine and relax. Enjoy a leisurely evening meal with a wine, or start the day off with a delicious breakfast. The atmosphere is always friendly and relaxed, while the good food perfectly compliments the beautiful surroundings and is prepared on the premises.
A unique New Zealand setting for a special occasion
Our spacious event / reception centre is a real piece of Kiwiana on the Coast. In keeping with our philosophy of working with nature the centres highlight is a 25 metre Rimu tree. It spans the roof beams and enhances the attractive, handmade (locally grown and milled) wooden panels that also feature throughout the room.
The Rimu tree is a rare and iconic feature and is always a talking point whenever our event / reception centre is used. If you’re looking to make an individual statement at your wedding, anniversary, conference or next special event then get in touch with us. The final presentation and layout is your decision, but we are happy to talk about your available options and help out in all the other ways such as qualified waiting staff, on site catering, glass hireage, presentation equipment, flowers etc.
We think you will be hard placed to find a venue, in a more beautiful location, that can be yours for just $100 a day.
